Meet The Management Team
Christie joined The Glen Club in 2013 as the director of membership, bringing with her 20 years of club and hospitality management, operations and sales experience with ClubCorp, Equinox Fitness Clubs and Tennis Corporation of America. She was promoted to general manager in April 2016. For 13 years, Christie served on the Illinois Junior Golf Association (IJGA) Board of Directors, retiring in 2016. A former collegiate golfer at Northern Illinois University, Christie now enjoys spending time with her three children and husband, watching her kids play sports or an occasional movie night.
Sales and Membership
Michael comes from an extensive background in hospitality management and special events, spending several years working with events at a local golf club. With Michael’s history and knowledge in hospitality and event sales, he assists clients in creating the most memorable occasion while standing behind the excellent service we are famous for here at The Glen Club. Michael’s energy, team spirit and drive enable him to deliver a high level of service for every client.
Michael attended North Park University in Chicago where he majored in marketing and hospitality.
When Michael isn't creating memorable occasions, you can find him enjoying time with his husband Mitchell in the North Shore at the beach or taking weekend trips to Minnesota to visit family and friends.
Jamie joins The Glen Club as the catering coordinator. Born in Evanston, she recently relocated to Illinois from Central Florida where she began her career in the hospitality industry. Her passion for creating special events and giving exceptional customer service has led her to over ten years of event management with her work including events such as the Sebring Soda Fest and the Sebring Art, Wine and Jazz Festival in Highlands County, Florida. She is excited to be part of an exceptional team here at The Glen Club, striving to provide her guests with the ultimate customer experience. Jamie is married to her husband Tim, and she is the proud mother of one daughter. In her free time, Jamie's hobbies include golf, playing the guitar and spending time with her family.
Kate joins us as a Catering Event Coordinator and Administrator. Kate grew up in Deerfield and moved to Downtown Arlington Heights after graduating from University of Dayton in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in Communication. The University of Dayton is where Kate found her passion for events when planning a range of events for her peers. Kate officially entered the catering and events planning world right out of college, working for a catering company in the suburbs of Chicago. She enjoys collaborating with guests to create their dream events. Kate enjoys playing with her dog and guinea pigs, playing volleyball, and watching The Office in her free time
After three years at Bolingbrook Golf Club, Ethan started at The Glen Club in March, 2013 as Assistant Golf Professional. After moving into the Head Professional role in 2016, Ethan oversees all areas of the golf operation, including daily operations, member event, private golf tournaments, merchandising and staffing. Ethan is also an experienced teacher who works with members and non-members alike. Ethan started his career in the golf industry in the fall of 2006 when he worked in the golf shop of the Merit Club in Libertyville, IL. He has also competed for prize money as a playing professional on the Tight Lies tour in Texas before returning to the golf business.
Ethan earned his BS in Marketing from Northern Illinois University, graduating in 2006. He attended high school at Mt. Zion H.S. just outside of Decatur in downstate Illinois.
Ethan is married to his wife Lindsay and they have two daughters.
Anna is joining us after spending six seasons at Davenport Country Club in Iowa. The last two as assistant golf professional. She has extensive experience serving the members in a private club setting as well as organizing leagues, clinics and member games.
Before working full time at DCC, Anna was a member of the golf team at Western Illinois University. As a starter all four years on the golf team she posted a scoring average of 77 her senior year. She graduated in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and went on to earn her MBA in Business Administration.
Anna is currently enrolled in the PGA Apprentice Program and is working towards becoming a full member of the Professional Golfers Association of America.
Anna loves to play golf, is into fitness and has recently moved to Des Plaines.
Glenn joined The Glen Club staff as Golf Shop Attendant in April of 2017, and moved into the First Assistant Golf Professional role for 2018. A native of Northbrook, he recently returned to the North Shore after 25 years in Colorado. Glenn brings more than 20 years of experience in sales and project/event management, including retail sales at Dick’s Sporting Goods. His varied background encompasses two high tech startups, fundraising for a large charitable organization, and serving cross-culturally while living in Nairobi, Kenya.
Glenn is a graduate of Glenbrook North HS, has a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois, and an MA in Leadership from Denver Seminary.
In addition to his lifelong passion for golf, Glenn enjoys skiing, scuba diving, tennis, photography, and triathlons.
After 4 years as the Assistant Superintendent at Royal Melbourne in Long Grove, Adam took over as Superintendent at The Glen Club in February 2020. He started his career at the age of 18 at Pine Trace Golf Club, near his hometown of Royal Oak, Michigan. Adam would later go on to attend Michigan State University and graduate with a degree in Turf Science. Upon completion, he got his start in the Chicago area at Conway Farms GC.
When he’s not working, Adam is an avid golfer and enjoys lacing up his hockey skates in the winter time. He’s been playing both since he was 8 years old. Adam also enjoys, kayaking, tennis and fitness.
Florencio is one of the longest tenured staffers here at The Glen Club. Florencio began his time here back in 2000 when they were still growing in the golf course- more specifically the 5th hole. He brings a lot of experience because of his wealth of knowledge regarding the property. Florencio can be seen on the golf course most days supporting his favorite sports team, the Cubs.
Dustin Kreft, Outside Services Manager and has been a part of The Glen Club team since opening day in 2001. He started as a caddie/cart attendant and worked his way up to the position he holds today – Caddie Master. His responsibilities include the day to day function of the outside services and caddie program.
Dustin grew up in Glenview and graduated from Glenbrook South High School and went on to get his bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University.
He is an avid golfer who has been playing his whole life along with 4 years on his high school team. Fun Fact: Dustin met his wife at The Glen Club while he was caddying and she was driving the beverage cart.
Food and Beverage
Chef Ron’s has been at The Glen Club since 2007. Previously, Chef Ron was the Executive Chef at Oak Park and Ruth Lake Country Clubs, Executive Sous Chef at the East Bank Club and helped open up the Hotel Nikko Chicago. He started working with food at the young age of 13, in his Uncle’s Grocery Store at Marina City in Chicago.
Ron was the youngest to graduate from the French culinary school, Dumas Pierre, which used to be in Glenview. Ron then received an associate’s degree at the Culinary School of Kendall College, while being a teacher’s assistant during its opening. During school he entered and won a medal in a cooking competition at the annual Chicago Food & Restaurant show. He has worked at and consulted with many restaurants over the years, creating menus and kitchen layouts.
For Dustin Heilmann, the most important tool in hospitality is a sincere smile. the foundation of great hospitality starts with a strong team and positive energy, a philosophy Heilmann plans to execute throughout his role at The Glen Club.
Heilmann has exercised his inherent talent for guest service at several Chicago hotspots including Carmine's and Nico Osteria, one of the most highly anticipated openings of 2013 in the culinary world. Working closely with notable industry leaders Chef Paul Kahan and Donnie Madia, Nico Osteria was named one of America's 25 Best Restaurants by GQ and one of the best new restaurants by Esquire in 2014.
Outside of his role as Food and Beverage Director, Heilmann enjoys reading about history and spending time outdoors - especially golfing, running and skiing. Heilmann is an avid music fan, and his diverse tastes includes Prince, Willie Nelson, Michael Jackson and his absolute favorite The Grateful Dead.
If Heilmann could invite four guests to dinner, he'd dine with his father, Winston Churchill, Abraham Lincoln and Bob Dylan. Heilmann and his wife Lexington and daughter Freddie live in the Edgewater Beach neighborhood in Chicago.
In his 14 years in the restaurant industry, there are very few positions in which Justin hasn’t worked. Shifts as Host, Server, Chef, Sommelier and Manager can all be found on his resume. A once long-time resident of Chicago, Justin has recently relocated to the city from central Wisconsin’s Sand Valley Golf Resort, where he unearthed a passion for the golf industry. At The Glen Club, he can be found working on the next classic cocktail, the curation of the wine list, and leading the food and beverage team to deliver great service to all our guests.
Outside of The Glen Club, Justin can be found exploring the local restaurant scene, taking his labradoodle, Benny, to the dog park, and solving the daily crossword puzzle.
Colleen joined The Glen Club in July of 2021 as the Hotel and Clubhouse Manager. Colleen has over ten years of hospitality experience in various areas, including Lodging, Food & Beverage, and Golf Management. Colleen has a BS in Hospitality Management with a Lodging Concentration from Roosevelt University in Chicago. When not working, Colleen enjoys traveling and has visited 30/50 states and over ten countries so far.
Jonathan joined The Glen Club in February of 2021. He has a widespread background in Food and Beverage management along with a degree in Finance from Bradley University and an Advanced Accounting Degree from College of DuPage. Before becoming part of the KemperSports family, Jonathan worked for Aramark as the unit controller at Soldier Field. Prior to that, he worked for Levy Restaurants in their PGA division as their Finance Manager.
Jonathan is an avid golfer and enjoys playing ice hockey. He also likes going to White Sox and Blackhawks games with his wife Wendi.
Luis joined The Glen Club in March of 2022. Luis grew up in Skokie and recently graduated from Northeastern Illinois University with a bachelor's degree in Accounting. With over 8 years in the hospitality industry, he's held various roles at local clubs and restaurants. Luis believes that one never stops learning and sees this as a great opportunity to continue learning about the operational functions of the industry. He is very excited to be a part of the team and the KemperSports family.
Luis recently picked up the game of golf and is working on improving his skills. He also enjoys spending time with his friends and family, watching sports, and exploring the city
Gustavo joined The Glen Club in November of 2015 as the Maintenance Supervisor. Gustavo brings years of experience from the Five Seasons in Northbrook and Glenview Car Wash. You may see Gustavo daily around the Clubhouse and grounds as he is constantly refreshing and repairing.
Gustavo enjoys time with his two daughters and wife. He loves bike riding, dancing and other activities with his family.
